Hi!

I’ll start by saying I’ve got a GP appointment for our daughter but just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Bit of a backstory:

DD6 had viral tonsillitis in February. Recovered after a few days.

In March she had a mild cold which lasted 3 or 4 days. During this time I noticed she had 3 red dots on her hip where her knicker line would be. They were non-blanching so instantly panicked. 111 said to relax, asked how DD was in herself. She was cartwheeling around the house, eating, drinking, playing. Advised to keep a close eye and any change at all or any more spots head to A&E immediately. I barely slept that night for worry and checking on her, overnight the spots faded and DD continues to be her usual happy and healthy self. Spots disappeared completely by day 2.

A few weeks later I notice 2 spots on her thigh again. 111 advised same as previous but to maybe get a GP appointment. So I did and she was seen the next day by a GP specialising in paediatrics. The spots had gone by then typically but I had photos. GP not concerned at all, suggested post viral or possibly clothing being too tight (she wears tights for school, suggested possible irritation). DD was happy and climbing around the GP’s office which also suggested she’s a well child.

Mid-April she had a mild cold and again came out in a few spots which disappeared overnight.

Last night I noticed a few spots on her wrist and one on her thigh. So I’ve got another GP appointment booked.

I’m at a loss as to what it could be and having made the mistake of googling, these types of spots seem to range from something as simple as scratching too hard to very sinister things.

Between March and now there has been no change to DD’s health or behaviour at all. She gets these spots and then they disappear overnight.

No pains
No sweating or chills
No unexplained bruising
No fever
No weight loss
No fatigue
No dehydration, eating as normal
Not pale
No change to her personality, she’s happy and thriving
Taking part in school activities and her after school activities

I feel like I’m suffering with health anxiety as I’m frantically googling constantly to see what it could possibly be but as usual google always leads you to the worst possible outcome.

Has anyone else’s children had this or experienced this kind of thing?

Insect bites? Some people get reactions like red spots that usually fade relatively quickly.
