Tips to helps 8y/o with travel nausea

My daughter has been complaining of travel nausea for some time now. It never seemed to affect her when she was younger and it only affects her on journeys longer than around half an hour, which we don't do that often anyway. She's never sick, just feels nauseous.

Wondering if there's any tips or tricks that might help?

I still get car sick and I'm in my 50s! I can't read in the car, am better sitting in the front and if I'm in the back try and keep my eyes on the horizon (front or side).

The things I have learned for me are:

Eat no dairy before journeys
Stay hydrated
No air conditioning or blowers on.

Doesn't always work, but it helps!

Medication is the only thing that works for me. I'm a veteran. My DS has it too and I think anti sickness meds can be prescribed from age 4 (which he is this summer thankfully)
