1 year old ongoing rash

Hi everyone,

I'm not one to seek medical advice on the internet but I am truly desperate and wondering if anyone's baby had something similar or may have any suggestions.

1 year old had her immunisations one month ago, including the MMR. Prior to the vaccine she had a bit of a cold and when we went for them she still had a slightly runny nose but the nurse said it would be fine for her to have them. After the immunisations she had a slight fever, nothing to write home about; however, two days later she had a rash all over her body apart from chest, face and hands. First I took her to the NHS GP and was given antibiotics for 10 days. After starting the antibiotics she stopped eating (only had formula) and got diarheea. About a week after the 1st rash (slightly sandpapery) appeared it faded. Two days later another type of rash appeared and that is on her to this day - in respect of this I took her to urgent care within the hospital ( was told it looked viral), NHS GP ( was told it could be a number of things, was given oilatum and sent on my way), private GP ( said it looks like its a reaction to the MMR (given probiotics, dioralyte, smecta - which resolved the not eating and diarheea and diprobase for the rash). Private GP said rash should resolve within a week. I've been applying it for approx. 2 weeks now and it was showing signs of improving so had started to wean her off (1st week i applied it 4 times a day and was now down to 2) but today it came back and it is quite angry looking and she's now screaming bloody murder when trying to apply the cream. I've now rang the NHS GP but was given an appointment next Friday but do not think I'll be able to hold off from going mental until then. Has anyone else been through anything similar or maybe anyone with a suggestion as to where to go/what else to do? I am in the West Midlands but at this point willing to travel as far as it takes.
Apologies for the long novel. Also, I've attached a photo of rash.

It looks eczema ish to me, OP.

Not a doctor, but experienced parent of 4.

Not a Doctor either but looks like she's reacting to something. Could it be the milk?

Hi
how did you go with this? Did the rash clear up?
my daughter had a similar reaction.
we are now 7 days post mmr vaccine and she has had temps diarrhoea crying all day long and the rash 🥺

I'd be tempted to ring 111 if she's still like that @SummerJett

Hello, sorry for the late reply. We're still struggling with it altough it has gotten better. I ended up ringing 111 amd they sent me to urgent care. The GP there said its eczema and prescribed hydrocortisone and cetraben. What I forgot to mention in my initial post is that when she was prescribed the antibiotics, the GP also prescribed hydrocortisone and the rash you can see in the photo appeared after I had stopped applying that. Once I started the hydrocortisone again the rash cleared up in a few days and then re-appeared 2 days after stopping it. What we're doing now, at our GPs recommendation, is trying to wean her off the hydrocortisone cream ( we're now gotten to a point where I apply it every 3 days) and also using a host of ointments, creams, bath emollients and bath oats. We've got an appointment for a private dermatologist (+ blood & allergy tests) to see her next month but to be honest, unless i suddenly stop the hydrocortisone again, there's not much for him to see. My suspicion at this point is that whilst the first rash was probably a reaction to the MMR vaccine ( two other children in her nursery have had the same reaction to it and it cleared on its own), this whole rash/eczema shitshow was probably caused by the initial prescription of hydrocortisone.
@SummerJett did you take your little one to the doctors yet?

It’s really common to get a rash 7-21 days post mmr vaccine. I’m surprised you weren’t told this by the nurse. If it continues it’s unlikely to be caused by the vaccine and is just coincidence it appears at the same time.

Also, thanks so much @IndiganDop and @PritiPatelsMaker for the suggestions, I truly was losing my mind at the time.
