8 month DD mole

Hi everyone, my 8 month old DD has two moles, not since birth. One tiny one on the back of her leg, and one a bit bigger on her hip. The one on her hip is really light, we noticed it over Christmas and saw a HV at the start of January who said it looks like a normal mole.
the past few days I’ve noticed part of it is a darker brown - not black, but a normal mole colour. However, I’ve been freaking out as my DH’s dad had skin cancer, and both my parents have had moles removed.
I booked the gp and turns out they booked me with a physician associate, so someone qualified but still in training. This person once incorrectly advised me to stick to a higher dose of medication, when it should have been lowered so I am nervous about their advice. But they said the mole looks fine, it’s not scabby, not got jaggedness to it, it’s not raised. They said just to keep an eye on it. They said some moles can be different colours, or it could be changing to be the normal dark brown mole colour. I asked if a dermatologist referral would be beneficial and they said no as they believes it’s okay.
I suffer with anxiety so I’m just here to ask - what would you do? Would you take her word for it and keep an eye out, or would you call again tomorrow but ask for a different person for a second opinion (and a GP).
ill attach a photo - bit blurry as she wiggles lots, but you can see the darker spot on it.

Looks fine to me- I have lots of moles and so does my son. If not jagged edges/ getting noticeable bigger / scab or Crust I agree it doesn’t need a specialist dermatology referral either.

this looks more like a freckle. I have health anxiety as well but I don’t think I’d worry about this. My dd is 9 and had three appear on her scalp last year. My other dd sees a hospital derm for something else so I asked him to check and he said nothing to worry about. If they’re roundand not bleeding or a funny shape/ changing colour you’re ok. I think skin cancer is v rare in children.

Thank you, my husband said the same, and my therapist would be telling me off for wanting to call again so I just needed another opinion.
ive got a ton of moles same as my husband, mine are all just dark brown so hadn’t come across that before, my husband does have a few two toned moles (although I keep telling him to get them checked out just in case!!)

Yeah with how light it was I thought more of a freckle, but now has a dark brown dot on it (which is the normal colour for a mole atleast mine are). It almost looks like a mole on a freckle, and that had changed this past week as that extra dot wasn’t there before. Hence the panic as it technically has changed? 🙈 but it’s still round and no jagged edges, etc.
