Curved pinky finger - clinodactyly. Experiences?

My DS was born with two inward curved pinky fingers, more pronounced on the left hand. I've spoken to GP and HV who say likely congenital condition and one to monitor as he grows. That corrective surgery only taken if it is impacting abilities.

Anyone else have experience of this in their children?

Picture attached. DS is now 2 years old.

Thanks

I have a degree of this. It's not made a big impact on any aspect of my life - I work in a field that requires a high level of manual dexterity, play several musical instruments to a good standard, drive, play sports, carry DC around, etc.

If I think really hard... The way I hold pens is slightly different from how most people do, and that finger can feel 'tired' sooner than the others (but that's after using them completely normally in manual tasks).

Try not to worry too much. Keep an eye on it, encourage him to use his hands and to be confident in himself, and I'd consider physiotherapy first-line rather than jumping straight to surgery if he does need any help, as it's less invasive.
