Always poorly

Just looking to see if anyone else has experience of anything like this or if everyone thinks I’m just overthinking!

DD8 is always catching every bug going round and when she does they wipe her out for at least 48 hours. She’s on the small side for her age and is a very ‘picky’ eater but we manage to get the ‘right things’ into her most days and she takes vitamins to top her up.

Alongside this she has eczema and I am confident some food intolerances however doctors are reluctant to test to confirm this. Previously she had frequent utis with a couple of them leading to hospital stays.

For context she has an older brother who is not poorly anywhere near as frequently and myself and her dad are also rarely poorly with a bug.

I suppose I am concerned there’s a bigger underlying concern causing the recurrent illnesses?! Any thought?

My 3 year old seems to be the same at the moment 😕 I've posted on here a few times , as like you I am anxious about it !

I think from what I've been told , even by doctors- this is a very bad winter for children being poorly.

When my son is over an illness he is his usual self which reassure me , but then it won't be long again till he catches something else ! Never ending.

I think lockdown has had a big impact on children's immune systems

Thanks for your response. Yes, DD is her usual self in between illnesses. She has always been this way, even before lockdowns.

I will speak to my GP again I think and see what they say
