16 year old had a funny turn

My daughter is 16 and usually healthy with no conditions. She had eaten and drank at breakfast

Day before yesterday in school she had a funny turn. Her hearing became muffled and her eye sight looked like a static TV (her description). She felt very sick and said she felt like she might pass out This happened twice and the second time the teacher noticed and though he was asking if she was ok she didn't respond for a few minutes. I was then called.
When she came home she felt ok other than a dark spot in her vision which lasted 15 minutes. She had a head ache and threw up. After sleeping and pain killer she was mostly back to normal, saying her head just felt fuzzy. She was fine yesterday.
Should I make her a doctor's appointment? And if I do it will be in a week or two or should I see if I can get her in today? I'm worried I should have had her seen yesterday. Do you think it sounds like a migraine?.

Yes in your shoes I'd get her to the GP asap. Anything potentially neurological needs investigating imho.

Keep a note of what's been happening and how she's feeling.

It sounds really similar to when j have migraines. I can feel sick, my vision is badly impacted and my hearing also feels funny but you should get her checked. I’d phone for an appointment today rather than waiting.

It’s a migraine.

Very similar to migraines I used to get. Hope she is ok today OP.

My first thought was migraine too. Get a GP opinion but perhaps get some migraine relief tablets. My DH used to get them frequently and the severity was lessened by taking tablets as soon as he had any symptoms.

Migraine, surely? I think a routine GP appt is fine- obviously if she worsens or has more then you might need to ramp up the urgency.

If you can’t see a gp get her an eye appt with optometrist. Free as full time student althogh I know specaavers do an emergency appt for £20. If they also think it’s migraine might reassure you

Look up hémiplégic migraines.

They often start in adolescence.

We've had a brush with them with DD although it turns out she has something rarer than that (she had other physical symptoms)

Could be vertigo, I would go to the GP, doesn't sound urgent but would be worth a conversation with the GP. Doesn't need to be face to face I would think over the phone would be good too
