Hi everyone my daughter is 10 months old and she can only sit up for about 1 minute at a time at the most before throwing herself back and gets really stressed if i keep trying. She also doesn't stand even when supported and has only this week started to put her feet on the floor when i try and will bare weight for 1 second then her legs collapse. She does not respond to me when i call her or look when im talking across the room but as im always with her i have only just noticed this. She can definitely hear some sort of noise as her sister wakes her up sometimes when shes having a paddy lol. She hardly babbles shes growls it sounds like sometimes but doesn't attempt to talk often. Im so worried I've got a doctors appointment tuesday was anyone elses baby like this and fine? She is the happiest baby never cries infact i cant remember the last time she really screamed shes happy to be rolling round the floor most of the day. I had the 10 month questionnaire through And she can not do any of the communication or gross motor skills.

Hi op! Just giving you a bump, my baby is only 4 months so i can't help, I know it's very very early still though so going to the GP is the right thing to do but try not to worry 🙂

I agree it's still early so try not to worry yourself too much.

Does she smile when you smile, and make eye contact when you talk to her?

Does she eat well and feed herself?

Babies do all develop at such a different rate.

She feeds herself well. And she smiles when i smile. She don't point at or try ask for things she wants or try communicating with me at all. she's silent for a lot of the day. I rang the health visitor and she said to call the doctors right away as she should be doing these things. I will just have to wait and see what they say at the doctors. But ive had a feeling for a while but as every baby is diffrent i have been trying not to compare her to my first daughter but its so hard not to when she was walking about at this age and she cant even sit up x

Also she makes eye contact if im right in front of her but if i make noise call or talk to her from behind she will not look or try to find me at all so im worried her hearing might not be to great although i know she can hear some things x

Hi not sure if this thread is still active but I can totally relate as my son is now 12 months old and I was the same as you, around 10 months old I contacted my health visitor with concerns that my son wasn't hitting milestones, unable to sit unaided, crawl or roll over. She did the assessment over video call with me and then arranged to come and visit me and my son at home. She then observed his movements he shakes his arms and legs alot amd doesn't seem to tolerate his head in the upright position for too long. Anyway she then put a referral in for some physiotherapy sessions and to see a peadatrian. Fast forward 2 months and a couple of physiotherapy sessions later. He is now rolling over and sitting for a few minutes unaided. They are small steps but still progress.i contacted a place called portage online and a lady is now coming to our house and following a step by step plan with my son to help him to advance even more. He hasn't been officially diagnosed with any condition as they tend not to diagnose until they are nearer to 18 months but he is showing signs of having a form of autism. I would suggest that you contact your health visitor or portage online and ask for a referral to a physiotherapist. Good luck and please don't worry as long as your little one is happy and cared for that's all she needs right now at such a young age.
