We've had ongoing allergy issues with DS now 15m. Skin test showed egg allergy and has delayed milk allergy too so we avoid soy as well. Also suspected wheat allergy but we're not sure on this. Anyway, even with all those things excluded he seems to have something bothering him - constantly itching his eyes, nose, ears and sometimes head. Sneezes and coughs a lot. It's winter so I doubt hay-fever. Dust mites maybe? But I read that children don't tend to get those kinds of allergies until older? Thinking also perhaps our washing powder so going to try ecover. Anybody have any similar experiences? Could another good allergy cause this iyo? He has a lot of oats so he's not gluten free but again I thought tat was unlikely at this age. 🤔

If you've had skin prick testing, what else did they test him for, and did anything else show up?

DD had this. GP told us to cut dairy, which we did to no avail and very difficult when she was only 1. A year later we had skin prick testing and it turned out she's allergic to dog dander, dust mites and sesame.

Thanks @1Wanda1 He only had food tests so we might pay to get other allergens tested privately (can't face the rigmarole of going through nhs again)

@1Wanda1 did her symptoms sound similar?

If the itchy eye symptom was more recent, could it be Christmas trees that are the issue?

My ds has been diagnosed with multiple food and environmental allergy since he was 8 months old. I think it's totally possible to have dust mite allergy at 15 months.
I don't know why your dc didn't get tested for most common allergen when he had the test. And don't know why you avoid soy because he's allergic to dairy. Cows milk and soy milk is totally different.
My ds's allergy doctor(nhs) tested him with 120+ allergen from one blood test, we found out his other allergies that wasn't tested from routine prick test.
Get tested, and find out what he's allergic to make the life so much easier for both parent and children.

@hauntedvagina I did wonder the same!! Removed it as soon as I thought about it but it seems to have gotten worse since then so I don't think so.

Thanks @grapehyacinthisactuallyblue , good to know it's possible then and I'm not going mad. The soy was advised by paediatrician as often babies with cow's milk allergies also have soy allergy- the protein is similar or something. We only had food tests at the time as it was only gut issues and reflux be was having. The itching etc I think has been after those tests were done. Yes will definitely get more tests then.
