Raised lymph node baby head

previously posted about raised lymph node behind baby’s ear that I noticed at around 4/5weeks. This was checked by GP at the time and was followed up a few weeks later. Reassured and sent away having been told it’s likely to disappear as he grows. Baby is now almost 7 months and lump is still present. It seems to be growing with him and seems slightly harder than before. Unsure whether to make another GP appointment or if I am overthinking it. I suffer with anxiety and this is always heightened when it comes to my children’s health so can never be sure if I’m wasting drs time

No I don't think you are, contact the GP. It's unlucky to be anything serous but it's always worth an ask.

Sorry about your health anxiety OP I am the same and have five children - 3 are down up but you still worry about them. Good luck!

If you think it's changed then see the gp

Are you absolutely sure it's a lymph node? There's a bone of the skull (the mastoid process) that sits just behind the ear - green in the pic.
Can be more pronounced in males than females.
But if you're worried and it's definitely changed then as pp said worth seeing the doc. Or HV maybe?

We had something that sounds very similar, I noticed DD had a soft lump which I thought was a lymph node around 2mo and it was still there months later.. After a HV came up with a ridiculous suggestion (that it was a loose piece of skull!) we got a referral from GP for an ultrasound scan at the hospital.

I can't remember the terminology (unresolved haematoma?) but it was a bruise from birth, fluid had collected there and just not dispersed as expected, they just said it was harmless and would disappear over time and within 6 months it had.
