Can Slapped Cheek occur twice?

DD had Slapped Cheek when she was 2 (now 4) both her cheeks were almost luminous red, it was very noticeable.

We went to the beach yesterday & when we came home, after an hour or two she had 2 very bright red cheeks, one went back to normal relatively quickly whilst the other stayed hot & red. By bed time it had faded slightly & she was fine in herself.

She's woken this morning & the red cheek is back. Not as hot but still warm. I can see on the NHS website that if you get Slapped Cheek, you're usually immune for life but this isn't concrete.

I did wonder if it could be down to a temperature change as I notice in the winter evenings with the fire on, her cheeks can go bright red. Just seems odd it's one. I'm pregnant & therefore slightly concerned.

Just looking for any experience!

Thank you

My eldest DS cheeks used to do similiar mainly in the colder months and sometimes even now! Usually after coming inside from being outside. My 2nd DS never really experienced it but my youngest also experiences this.. especially when it was really cold a couple of weeks back. One cheek stayed red.
There is such a thing as windburn. Given you were at the beach this could be possible?! Have a read x

Also adding to that with you mentioning if she sits in front of a fire.. it could well be just a temperature change thing.
I use aveeno cream on my boys cheeks just to help keep it soft when they get like this and not as uncomfortable for them - (not that they've ever complained about it!) X
