They are allergic to penicillin but also seem to vomit up alternatives?

My DD's nursery has had one case of Scarlett fever. They also have quite a few off with slapped cheek (which my dd had had).

Considering she loves going to nursery and wants to go every day, would you keep her at home from now until Christmas?

My family are putting me under pressure to keep her at home. I don't know what to do.

Sorry I know there are probably a lot of threads like this but if the antibiotic issue wasn't there I'd feel less concerned.

Well, ultimately it's going to come down to can you keep her home (ie is someone around to look after her?) or would you have to take time off to do it?
Nursery obviously isn't compulsory; you're paying for the childcare. So you can keep her home for whatever reason, as you'll still be paying for her place regardless of whether you use it or not.
The antibiotics issue - there are other antibiotics available I believe, if you are allergic to penicillin. I've no idea if they're in shortage atm though.
Presumably the child with scarlet fever is currently not at nursery, & is likely to have already passed it on before they became symptomatic if that was to already happen.
So keep her home if you're able & feel the risk is too great.

I think I will keep her at home. She's already been very ill with slapped cheek back in October.
