Asking as I know doctors are over run at the moment and don't want to waste an appointment unless we really need to.
My 6 year old daughter has a horrendous cough but we had her checked Monday and doc said all sounded clear.
Last few days she's saying her throat 'hurts a bit' she's bunged up. No temperature, no vomiting or anything.
Now I've noticed 2 new spots on her torso. I've looked at her tonsils nothing looks spotty or anything. I think her tongue is normal?
Do the spots look like possible scarlet fever?

Scarlet fever rash is a widespread rash that feels like sand paper, not individual spots.

Looks more like chicken poxs and I was shocked how ill my dd was with them I thought just spots but no she was sick aswell. Doesn't look like scarlet rash that would cover a larger area feel rough and isn't spots. You can go to your local chemist for a quick checkup they will tell you if you should see a gp.

She had chicken pox quite badly back in March this year, surely it wouldn't be that again? Thanks, I think I will have to pop to the chemist and ask them then.

With the obvious proviso that none of us can see your child and tell how she is… she sounds fine other than a cold. There’s some useful nhs info on rashes here, I’d have a look at that before rushing off to the pharmacist personally www.nhs.uk/conditions/rashes-babies-and-children/

Hand foot and mouth is also a possibility if they have a sore throat - hard for young children to articulate the difference between sore mouth and sore throat..
