Strep throat

My DD4 has been unwell with a cold since Wednesday, coughing and sneezing, sore throat. She had a fever Thurs and Fri and had some lethargy those days. Yesterday she had no fever at all and was back to being active. This morning she says she feels better and is in a great mood, still has a runny nose and coughing a bit and says her throat is still a bit hurty. I would say she's definitely on a good trajectory and ready to go back to nursery tomorrow. Except that I looked inside her mouth with a torch and she seems to have a small patch of tiny red pinprick spots on the roof of her mouth. I read online that's a sign of strep throat and of course I'm paranoid about strep throat now like everybody is. If it was that though, why is she so much better without treatment? I don't know whether it would be completely ridiculous to keep her off nursery tomorrow and take her to the GP just because of those dots.

My dd has similar, I'm going to see how she feels later today but possibly a trip to the GP tomorrow as her tongue has a white coating. She's well in herself at the moment and eating, drinking.

It's definitely worrying.
