Nits ongoing after 2.5 weeks

Any advice please?

DD hasn’t had them for five years, now they seem to have moved in. I have done two treatments with Hedrin and two with Full Marks (both times I bought what was available but Hedrin worked in the past) and they are still coming out of there.

She has long, thick hair. I know they are particularly awkward little buggers because for the first time in my life they got to me too. I was clear after two treatments (but have done three and four to check, cos itching…).

Does it just depend on the strain as to how long it takes, or is there a new treatment on the block I should try?

I always follow the instructions and then do a full comb through with conditioner and a nitty gritty comb to see what comes out.

Thanks for any advice!

My DD had an “infested scalp”. We used one of those bit hoover-looking thing services (the one I used was in Primrose Hill but there are loads). I spent £500 on the two of us; I figured I should do it too and we went twice two weeks apart. Best thing ever! Look into it OP.

I had this with my youngest for a year!! Turns out one of the girls in her class had prolific untreated nits and the class was just catching them repeatedly. The school organised for the whole class to go to a nit treatment centre locally to us in the end, after many complaints. It was completely free and we just had to sign a consent form.

We haven’t had nits for 6 years straight after that. Keep going into the school and reporting them, they send out a class letter. Didn’t help much with my daughters class but at least something was done in the end l.
