Normal body temp of 37.5?

DD (6) has always got very high fevers when unwell. Her normal body temp has always read around 36.8-37 on our digital forehead thermometer. After realising recently that our thermometer wasn't accurate/broken (in comparison to the thermometer at the doctors), I've bought a new one, another digital forehead one, and now her normal temp seems to be higher (she's not unwell anymore). It's now more 37-37.5, but she doesn't feel hot to touch. I should add I don't routinely take her temperature this often, I was keeping an eye on it when she was unwell, and have since taken it more than usual just to see if it's ever lower than 37! Does anyone else or your DC's have slightly higher than "normal" body temps ?

You know fever is the body's way of fighting off infection? If she's well, she's probably well but perhaps her immune system is working to fight something small off and keep her well?

Yeah I do know that, she's just usually all or nothing - fine or a temp of up to 40c! But yeah that's a good point she could be fighting something small off

Then again she'll have been fighting something small off almost permanently

We found the digital forehead thermometers really inaccurate and our children's hospital agreed. All the healthcare professionals use the in ear digital and I've found these the best too. Our daughter had repeated ear infections / tonsillitis so we ended up trialing and testing quite a few over the years!

I've found the Babymad digitals that go under the tongue to be best.

Yeah I know ear ones are more accurate but DD hates them and kicks up a right fuss Confused
