Toddler ate glass

Gosh I can't believe I'm asking for advice on this .. but

Earlier as I was getting some snacks ready for my DD, I opened one of the kitchen cabinets and a glass fell out and smashed all over the kitchen top, I quickly tried to clear it so DD doesn't get to it.

Stupidly by the time I finished I realised DD was eating a yogurt which had no lid on when the glass smashed next to it ( she managed to get to it in the chaos) and I didn't notice at all.
After she ate it all .. She handed me a big piece of glass and said this is yucky ... but gosh what if there were lots of little pieces in the yogurt? And she swallowed them?

There's no blood in her mouth and the glass is almost like plastic material half glass half plastic .. (can't explain better)

She seems fine and carried on playing.

Should I take her to a&e just in case she swallowed little pieces? I hate myself! I am sooo stupid how could I miss her getting to the yogurt? 😭

Sorry in advance for all the spelling mistakes. I'm in anxiety mode. I have a 2 month old newborn as well and DH is working away tonight. 😭

I would ring 111 for advise.

I would definitely call 111 for advice. Whilst there may not be any glass or cuts in her mouth they may just want to check her over in case there's any cuts or anything elsewhere

You're not being silly by calling them and I think it'll definitely give you peace of mind

I'm sure she's absolutely fine and don't beat yourself up about it. I think all our kids end up falling off beds / eating something they shouldn't / sticking stuff in their ears or noses at some point. One of the many (scary) things about being a patient.

Let us know how you get on 💐

Yes definitely call 111 op. I'm sure she's fine but you need proper advice.
