Yes, I had a drooler. I was told that as she was passing milestones appropriately, chewing solids and developing speech, there was no concern until 18m. If she was still drooling at 18m the HV said she would initiate referral to SALT.
Literally the day dd turned 18m she stopped drooling. It was like a tap had been turned off. She continued dribbling in her sleep for many years, and still does it as a teen if she sleeps on her stomach.
It was a soggy 18m. I kept dd in wool vests as long as possible, because if she drooled on cotton vests they got soggy and she would get a rash on her chest. Soggy wool vests did not cause a rash. I think they were merino vests - not cheap. But also not too hot in spring and autumn.
I went through a lot of bibs! MIL used to make dd pretty frocks with matching bibs which she lined with towelling. I used to go out with 3 or 4 bandannas: dd would wear one, one would be tied loosely to the buggy handle to dry out, and one would be ready for use. Each would last about half an hour.
I recommend the towelling-lined bandana bibs. Plenty of them.
I didn't like the bibs with waterproof backing. Because they didn't not soak through she would end up wearing them for too long and the soggy neckline would give dd a rash.
She used to get a sore chin from all the dribble, so I would put my plain lip balm on her chin to protect it. Which explains why one day she took dm's red lipstick and applied it to her chin
