White/yellow spot on my 5 year olds gum

My five year old came to me today saying she had a new tooth growing - upon inspection she has a small whitish-yellow spot right at the top of her gum above her top front tooth.

I don't think it's an ulcer, and I'm fairly sure she's not correct about it being a tooth. I've googled and come across gum boils - but she hasn't bumped her mouth at all and only saw the dentist a few months ago so I don't think there are any cavities or anything.

Any ideas?

Are you sure she never knocked her tooth? My DS bumped his mouth (and chipped his tooth) as a one year old. Dentist said it was fine and not to do anything. Two years later, at a routine check-up another dentist spotted a little white speck above the tooth and referred us to a consultant. There was no pain and we had not spotted it while brushing his teeth. The consultant said he'd have to have the tooth removed as an infection would damage the new tooth. She said that all knocks to the front teeth (certainly those that are bad enough to chip a tooth) loosen the tooth ever so slightly and therefore allow bacteria in. She recommended to always take the tooth out to protect the permanent tooth underneath.

She chipped the next door tooth when she was a toddler when she tipped off a ride on. That was 4 years ago though.
The tooth with the spot is actually wobbly, I hadn't noticed before.
The dentist said if it hadn't gone in 10 days to get the antibiotics she prescribed, but it seems to have cleared up now so hopefully she'll be ok now!
