Is this normal behaviour?

Hi everyone
NC for this

I have a 2YO Dd who will turn 3 in Sept

We have noticed a few changes in her behaviour that makes us think maybe we're missing something Such as

  • Shouting. When excited/ when sad / when surprised etc it's all shouting. She is the loudest in any environment. Shouts whilst she runs around, shouts with excitement when playing with others, shouts when things don't go her way
  • having to do the exact same things when returning to places she's been to before. For example we went to Lidl last week and she used a little trolley to push around. (They all have different animals on them) DD had one with a lion on. Great. We went back today and the lion one was not there as probably some other child was using it. It was the end of the world I'm telling you ... scream/ cry / throw herself to the ground ... refusing to go
In the shop. We ended up going home and I cried all the way back
  • constantly hitting her baby cousin, can't meet up with my sister as my DD loves attacking the baby
  • she has no control of her saliva, she constantly dribbles, we remind her to wipe her chin but nope mid talking you can see it dribble
& also she constantly scratches her tongue.

Any of these normal? If anyone has got any advice I'm happy to listen please!

Tia x

Take a breath op. Some children are just louder than others she's not even 3 yet bless her. You can't compare children to others what's the point? We are all different as adults so for children the same applied. My son dribbled constantly until age 6 the dentist told me some children are just like that but they get there in the end.

The hitting, again she's 2 ok . Just remind her we don't hit others and distract. Obviously if this continues to school age then the school will flag any concerns. But honestly just let it be ,they grow up so fast .

Ah thank you. You have no idea how much this means. I was starting to loose hope tonight and convinced myself something must not be right.

I'll try to wake up with a better attitude tomorrow

She sounds like a two year old!!!
They are hard work sometimes with no rhyme or reason to the outbursts.
They don't call it the terrible twos for nothing 😬
Hard hat needed 😂

Behaviour sounds pretty normal for two tbh! Could she have oral thrush?

Thank you both so much!

I meet up with NCT as we all have the same age daughters. They always talk about how amazing their DDs are and well behaved. They seem to have no issues so it's great to hear we're not the only ones to struggle 😅

Gosh I don't know. Her tongue doesn't look any different to before. But good point. Will take her to a pharmacy tomorrow.
