Toddler stomach bug - day 4 and getting worse

Hi, my 2.5 year old has had what I presume is a stomach bug since Wednesday. He's very up and down, but today I would say is worse than yesterday. Symptoms are - not eating, not drinking (he has been having homemade ice lollies before today but isn't interested today) therefore minimal urine output. He's had maybe 2 wees all day. Vomiting every few hours, diarrhoea, lethargy. He's naturally pretty thin anyway so I'm worried most about him not eating anything plus obviously dehydration. He woke this morning really upset for about half an hour too, presumably in pain.
I called 111 earlier and was told I'd be called back within an hour but it's been almost 2 hours now and no sign.
Wondering if any GPs or Nurses have any advice? Thank you.

I think if you’re worried and he seems dehydrated personally I would go to a&e. It’s highly likely that’s what 111 will say anyway. Keep offering little licks of ice lollies or you could try syringing him some water. But as I say, I would go to a&e.

It’s the not drinking that would worry me the most - little ones can get dehydrated quite quickly. If I were in your position I’d go to A&E.

We had similar with our 3 year old last month. It was an awful bug (combined with RSV) and lasted 6 days. We ended up in hospital - they will try and do the fluid challenge and give 10mls of squash every 10 mins and see what they keep down so I'd start that at home. They were mainly concerned about blood sugar also so sweet flat drinks like lemonade are good. If in doubt take him into hospital, our daughter was put on a drip and given anti emetics both of which massively helped.

I was really wanting 111 to call back to hopefully arrange an OOH apt so we can avoid A&E on a Saturday night and what will surely be a really long wait. I wonder whether to call them back?
He was last sick about an hour ago, quite a lot considering how little he's eaten/drank in the last 24 hours, and seemed to get immediate relief from that and actually sat playing for 30 mins or so. He's fallen asleep now but I'll obviously wake him to take him wherever is needed.
I wish they'd just hurry up and call back!
