Anti sickness meds

Hi, just looking for some reassurance if possible.
My 2 year old woke up this morning with severe vomiting (7 times in 2 hours). She'd banged her head badly less than 48 hours before so we went straight to a&e. They decided it was viral (born out because I'm feeling pretty nauseous now) and gave her an oral anti sickness shot because she couldn’t keep water down. It worked like magic, but only lasts 12 hours. I'm dreading tonight scared that she'll be right back where we were this morning 😭. Is there a chance she'll have recovered enough in 12 hours to not need any more meds?
We've not encountered noro before, i'm freaking out.
TIA

The overwhelming majority of children find that one dose (I'm guessing of ondansetron, as the only anti sickness drug licenced in young children, though this is a common but off licence use) breaks the vicious cycle, and they don't need another one.

@nocoolnamesleft thanks for posting. She's just been sick again, sigh. Waiting now to see if it'll be continuous like this morning.

Fingers crossed. Little and often with the fluids.

Thanks. She was only sick twice last night, and is keeping water down. Hopefully we're past the worst.
