Ortho k and axial length check

Does anyone know any opticians in London/Kent (in particular South London/kent) who offers Ortho k lenses and also axial length check? I believe whole wearing ortho k, the usual sight test to check prescription cannot be performed and the only 2 ways to check if ortho k is slowing myopia down is by either stopping the use of lenses for several weeks or have an axial length check. My local opticians doesn't offer the axial length check as the machines are very expensive. As with myopia control in children, surely it should be necessary to keep an eye on the prescription to see if the lenses are working?!

You’ll still need to have regular checks for ortho-k. So they’ll check the myopia progression.

There's a new daily lens on the market called Misight which might be worth looking into. Not sure if there's an Eyeplace opticians near you but they're offering them. Have a look on coopervision.co.uk they manufacture them and have plenty of info about them and the research carried out.

My daughter has tried Misight lenses. Stopped for 2.5 weeks after 2 weeks of wear due to the feeling like something was in her eye and opticians couldn't give her an appointment for 2.5 weeks. Wore it again for a day and she said it was uncomfortable so took it out early

Definitely the right thing to do, you must always remove contact lenses if they’re uncomfortable. I think you need a different optician, I’d always see someone as an emergency if they have an irritated eye.
