Need to get some pitiritin for my son who's got chicken pox but am I allowed to take him out to the pharmacy with me? Single parent and nobody to help and it's too expensive to order online.

If he's infectious, no. Can a neighbour pick it up for you?

Unfortunately not. We've been using calamine lotion and calpol so that'll have to do.

There's no law saying not to and if you had any other way to have him looked after then I'd say leave him with someone whilst you pop out. Ideally an infectious kid isn't around anyone as chickenpox can be crap for vulnerable people - but if there's literally no way of having him being looked after / someone bringing you piriton (a friend / a neighbour / a school parent you're friendly with?) then take him with you - ideally at a quiet time so later at night or early morning

No you can’t take him into a public building with people who are vulnerable.
