Hi all. This is a fairly long detailed study but I’ll keep it as short and to the point as possible. So my nearly 3yo was sick x1 Tuesday day and x1 Tuesday night. 2/3times Wednesday, 3/4 times Thursday, x1 Friday and x2 today (Saturday). He was very unwell on the Wednesday so took him the A and E they Let us go and put it down to virus. We went back on Thursday as he declined further and was admitted to the paediatric ward until they discharged us Friday afternoon. His blood sugars were very low and he wouldn’t take fluids. Since being discharged he has behaved like his normal self. Doesn’t seem bothered by the sickness at all. but we are still having very lose watery stalls and sickness. But there’s no warning it just falls out of his mouth. He seems fine in himself now. So I just can’t work out what’s causing this sickness still? Has anyone experienced this before? Thank you.

I'd go gp next, but in meantime could it be an allergy? My ds vomits about 2 hours after eating peanuts. He has a non anaphylactic allergy to them. I'd keep a food diary of past week, to look for triggers it will also be helpful for gp. Otherwise it could be that because he had a stomach bug his stomach is more sensitive you could try to give bland foods - chicken, rice. Avoid dairy, wheat, acidic, spicy for a few days. And then slowly add new foods back in one at a time.

I wouldn't like to say. If you feel he needs a&e absolutely but otherwise gp Monday morning or is there an out of hours doctor?

We had similar with my daughter when she was 3. She was sick at least once every day for a week.
We saw doctors twice over that time, they weren't concerned as long as she wasn't dehydrated, because it was just a bug.
In the end she just stopped being sick. You have my sympathies, it was a very stressful week.

You could see if the symptoms of post-viral gastroparesis fit.

Thank you all. @MadameDragon I’ve just looked that up as I’ve never heard of it. It’s a possibility. I’m going to do some more digging there I think. Feel slightly better knowing we aren’t alone. So thank you xx
