Randomly vomiting in the morning

DS (3 yo) has been randomly sick after breakfast for the past 3 mornings, he doesn't seem ill no temperature or behavioural changes, fine within himself except for being sick that once each day.
He hasn't ate anything differently to what he normally would so I don't think it's been that. He had covid a couple of weeks ago so unsure if that could be related but it didn't cause any vomiting at the time.
Has anyone else had this before and found out what it was? He isn't generally a sicky child so this is very unusual for us. If it continues I will give the gp a call just wondering before I do.

Hi OP.
Most likely nothing but vomiting in the morning can be a red flag for some disorders so if continues definitely see GP on Monday. If anything else odd happens over the weekend get seen sooner.

We had a similar issue a few months ago, 5 year old DD kept waking up feeling sick and vomiting but was then fine for the rest of the day. Ended up taking her to the GP who found that she had swollen furry tonsils - I hadn't even thought to look in her mouth as she hadn't mentioned a sore throat at all. Doctor advised tonsillitis clears up on it's own and just to give Calpol for a few days.

Thankyou I definitely will if it continues, just find it odd that he's absolutely fine in every other way even before and after being sick you wouldn't think there was anything wrong he isn't remotely bothered by it.

That's interesting, I will see if he will let me have a look in his mouth later, I hadn't thought it could be something like that causing it.
