8 month old unexplained seizures

DS2 is 8 months old. He had always been an unsettled baby, he never seems to be fully comfortable always squirming and fidgeting and always cries but otherwise no ill health. Doctors thought his discomfort was reflux, later they thought cows milk allergy but nothing they tried helped and he's on normal milk now with no signs of allergy.

On Sunday evening I was making him a bottle and my husband was just walking around with him and noticed his eyes rolled to the back of his head.
He was completely unresponsive, not breathing and he turned blue. His body was rigid and his little toes were all curled up.
He got an ambulance straight to hospital but they said it looked like a one off and let us go home.

The next morning he was just playing with his toys, he very gently bumped his head and went into another seizure. Exactly the same thing just a bit of breathing so he didn't go as blue.

We are in the hospital now under observation but they can't find any cause. They said they are going to send us home now but I'm so scared it's going to happen again. Does anyone know what it could be?

Just to note he doesn't have a fever and he isn't unwell, however I do think I had an ear infection a few days ago. My dad has epilepsy.

What tests have they actually done in the hospital? Are you at home now?

Only an ECG and then normal obs. Everything there looked normal.
We went home at about 5pm but we are back now because he just had another seizure. Got this one on video so hopefully they will know more from that.

I'm sorry to hear that but it's very good you got it on video. I hope you get some answers. I would be insisting on an MRI (but that's given my son's history of a brain tumour). These are symptoms to be aware of:
