Could it be hand foot and mouth?

Hi all my DD (2.4 years) has been out of sorts today.

She has been complaining of pain on her chin and cheek. No visible external signs of a cause (cuts or bruising) and she's refused to let us look in her mouth. Full on screaming, kicking and hitting when we attempted.

She's eating and drinking fine though.

As well as the pain complaints she's just been out of sorts. Grizzly, tired, clingy and although she doesn't have a temperature she is sweating quite a lot in her sleep.
Despite a late(ish) nap she went to bed early and fell asleep no issues. She's already woken up twice crying and pawing at her chin. Whilst she's asleep I've noticed that the (inner) top lip is swollen and red. I've tried to have a look properly in her mouth whilst she's asleep and have also managed to see that she has an ulcer on her inner bottom lip in front of her bottom teeth (explaining the pain in her chin) I've not been able to see any more into her mouth.

I've had a little look online and am worried that she may have hand foot and mouth.

Although she has no blistering to her hands or feet her bottom come up in spots a couple of days ago. That coupled with having at least 2 mouth ulcers and her being just generally out of sorts is making me think this.

What do you think?

Possibly, HFM sometimes causes blisters and spots In the nappy area.

Could be a sore throat too if refusing to let you look in the mouth.

Chicken pox seems to be doing the rounds at the moment. Hope she’s better soon x

It isn't called HFM because that's the only place the spots occur, simply because they're more likely there. Both of mine had them quite badly in their nappy areas and on their knees oddly enough. So it sounds possible.
