Baby's once-a-day vomiting

My little boy is almost 7 weeks old. He’s breastfed and putting weight on nicely, etc. For the last 2-3 weeks he’s been vomiting occasionally. It’s only ever been once a day. Doesnt necessarily happen immediately after a feed - he’ll be awake and on me or my partner and will just suddenly throw up what feels like a huge amount of milk. And it will keep on coming and coming until his stomach must be emptied.

It started when he had a cold. Threw up once a day for 5 days straight. We’ve had a three days break and I thought it must’ve been linked with his cold but it’s happened again this afternoon.

Has anyone experienced similar? GP and HV didn’t seem concerned though thought it could be linked to the cold. Just said to keep an eye on it but I’m starting to worry. Could it be bad reflux? Would reflux be vomiting after every feed and would it have come on a few weeks in rather than happening from birth? Allergies? Or just normal baby with an immature digestive system and might he grow out of it?

Have something similar and the GP was also unconcerned as DD is putting on weight. In our case she's gone on to develop other symptoms. As waiting lists are so long, I would push for a referral to see a paediatric gastro just so that if he goes on to develop more symptoms you won't have to wait so long to for an appointment. Hopefully though by the time the appointment comes around he'll have stopped his daily vomit and you can cancel it
