Psoriasis / Verucas / Bad Eczema?

Hi all, hoping to get some advice as we’ve finally had our daughters dermatology referral through for a wait of (just) 18 months… Doctors have tried antibiotics, E45, verruca treatments, anti fungal cream the lot, but we just CANNOT get a grip on this foot situation. No matter what we try and how thorough we are this just keeps irritating, itching and getting progressively worse. It’s getting so bad now it’s starting to smell and I’m washing it every night with wound wash to make sure it’s not infected. We’re honestly at our wits end and really not sure why doctors aren’t taking it more seriously! Poor daughter ends up going to sleep crying most nights as it itches so much she can’t get to sleep but we just don’t know what to try anymore as it doesn’t seem to look like anything in particular? Any help / advice would greatly appreciated ❤️

Did it start as a wound/graze? My son had a small patch of what looked like eczema on his forehead but it was where he had scraped his head when he fell over once. It must have got something in it which stopped it healing. We had tried all kinds of creams and so we were given some quite strong anti fungal tablets (he was 1 at the time and had to have a quarter of a tablet only - ground up and hidden in food! Such fun!)

Ahh yes it did! It started on the side where the new shoe buckle had rubbed and made a slight blister, it just got worse from there and then we got verrucas just below. And hope your son is feeling better now? Hiding tablets / anything in food always makes me feel so guilty haha! Bit like the cat and de-wormer 😅

I had something similar when I was about 17.. I had a small blister on my little toe which got infected and turned into something similar to your daughters. I remember it being insanely itchy Sad Doctor kept fobbing me off with cream but in the end I needed antibiotics. Hope you get answers soon Flowers

Sorry just reread and realised you’ve tried antibiotics. Only other thing that helped heal it was not wearing any shoes/socks on that foot (I used crutches around the house) and staying off of it for about week.

Another vote for asking about oral antifungals. I had something not dissimilar once, and was consistently given creams which did nothing. Then ended up on oral antifungals for something else, and the foot cleared completely and almost immediately.
