Giving Zinc to 11 year old

My DD is 11 and will be 11 1/2 on Boxing Day.

She has had warts on her hands for a couple of years, we've tried Salactol and Bazuka, but they are still there.

In winter she gets terrible eczema and psoriasis, the dry patches around her eyes, led to a filiform wart.

I've tried Thuja, dandelion milk, aspirin and zinc cream on the wart, but it just won't go.

She now has one under each nostril, coincidentally at the same time as the red/dry skin has recurred (cleared up in summer).

She has three filiform warts on her face! Sad

GP not concerned when I mentioned the amount of warts, saying that she hasn't that many and her skin predisposes her to them.

I want to give her zinc supplements, but they say they are for children of 12 and over.

She is large - tall and in size 12 adult clothing, she has breasts and periods, so would it really hurt?

I'm at my wits end.

Hi folks

We are moving this over to the health topic.
OP - please seek RL medical advice, as Mumsnet is no replacement for that Flowers
