My child just ate a Cadbury’s flake pot pudding that expired 20th September!! Not my pudding…. Don’t ask. Will she be ok?

Yes

As my mum used to say - best before not die after

Ooh, that's pretty out of date!

Nobody knows if she'll be ok. You just have to hope so.

Use by dates are conservative, but not usually that conservative!

Not really, those things have over 20g of sugar per serving. Out of date carrot sticks or some stale rice cakes and old hummus would be better.

(She’ll be fine. Best before dates are just made up.)

Thank you! It was bought last week so technically it’s Tesco’s fault, but I would have still checked before I gave it her

Love this. If it was off they’d have said?
Doggotired · 18/10/2021 20:18

Would it have tasted off? I sniffed the empty pot and it smelt ok?!

If they haven't thrown it up within 24 hours it's safe to assume they are fine.

My DD ate and ambrosia custard once from one of the plastic pots. Got to the bottom and it was mouldy. Called Ambrosia and they were fairly non plused, sounded fairly common Hmm she was fine and that's diary. I was slightly sick in my mouth tho for about 2 months!
