My very nearly one year old has just used up the last of his formula and is having whole milk. Over the past couple of weeks we've been gradually giving him one bottle of whole milk here and there.
He has 3 meals a day, but I find that majority of it is chewed and spat back out or thrown on the floor. Now I know he's one, I'm not expecting all the food to stay on the plate but my worry is that he's really not eating much. And with him now not having the formula and having whole milk as a replacement this might affect him.
If I was to feed him puréed food off a spoon he'd eat it, if I gave him a yoghurt he'd eat it and if I handed him a biscuit he'd eat it. So I know he has no trouble feeding himself. I don't want to be spoon feeding him every meal now he's coming up to one. He has no problem picking up small pieces of food either I think he's just being fussy in the hope he'll be given something else.
So my question is, if he's not eaten much of his dinner am I ok to just not keep offering him alternatives? He always has milk after his food and he'll still drink all of that. And he gets enough fluids. I'm just worried he may start losing weight.
