Bed wetting and sleep apnea

My 5 year old girl has a mild form of sleep apnea. She has huge tonsils which they wont remove as its only mild and she actually doesnt get tonsilitus much. Shes always been a heavy sleeper getting at least 11-12 hours a night would sleep for longer if it wasnt for school.

She has been day time dry since 2/3 and have tried nighttime with little success over the years. For the last two months removed pulled ups altogether but she still bed wets at least twice a week and losing the will slightly with it and ready to give up and go back to pull ups. She would hate this though as she obviously thinks shes too big for them now and i think it may be more damaging.

I think i may have had similar when i was younger as my mum very proudly says i was out of nappies at night since i was 2 but i remember wetting the bed at 4 i then had my tonsils removed at 14 after years and years of being poorly all the time with it and finally ending up in hospital as was soo bad when they removed them. Also deep sleeper and have been told before i stop breathing in my sleep.

Anyway, she has always snored since a baby and doesnt snore much now so i think she may be growing into her tonsils and out of the sleep apnea maybe. Do i just ride this out or admit defeat.

I dont know, help please.

Some children aren't ready to be dry at night at that age without having sleep apnoea. She needs to make a hormone that suppresses urine production at night and also be able to wake with the sensation of a full bladder.

I'd go back to pull ups and try again in a few months

Sleep apnoea or not, it is really normal not to be dry at 5. I kept mine in nappies and later pull-ups until they were dry but your alternative of getting up and taking off the sheet/waterproof sheet to reveal a second set is also alright and some families choose to do this. I was too lazy.
