When to panic with child who isnt drinking? Dd8 has drank about 200ml water and 3 teaspoons of rehydration sachet over last 24 hours. Awaiting 111 to call me back but at what point do I worry and take her to Dr/ hospital? Or if shes drinking a tiny bit shes ok? Shes asleep but once awake will try feew more teaspoons. No fever by the way.

Is she not eating?
Has she been unwell?

Is she weeing a normal amount? If she's producing less urine and it's darker in colour, that's a sign that she's becoming dehydrated.

200ml of water in a 24 hour period is nothing. Remember we can only survive a max of 3 days without water. Dehydration becomes dangerous really quickly and risks sepsis.

If she's basically unable to tolerate water for the last 24 hours I wouldn't be waiting for a callback personally.

Thanks all. So shes had a few more teaspoons and some ice cream as not eating either. 111 say she doesnt need to go anywhere if shes taking a bit of water now. I'll keep an eye.
No hardly weeing.
She was in an accident and injured so we were in hospital until yesterday.
