Toddler with chicken pox and I'm 39 weeks pregnant

Hi all, I'm currently 39 weeks pregnant and was told 2 weeks back by my child's nursery there has been an outbreak of chicken pox which my 26 month old has yet to have. We've had no signs however this evening hes been very irritable, coughing and itching so we feel its potentially on the way.
I'm 39 weeks pregnant and have had chicken pox already as a child, I plan on breastfeeding my newborn but I'm still concerned there is a risk.
When I rang the midwife office they said don't worry about it but everything online says you shouldn't be around people with chicken pox regardless if you have already had them.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or can offer guidance? Thanks

Just try and keep the baby in until any chicken pox is over! I think you can get your immunity checked for it too

My toddler had chicken pox and I was tested for antibodies. I was 2nd trimester though which the gp said was the most vulnerable time. I had antibodies though so that was the end of it. Apparently it's rare to get to adulthood in the UK without being immune.

My DD has chicken pox when I was 30 weeks pregnant. All was fine with me & baby. I had it as a kid.

I didn’t even think about it to be honest.. you can hardly not be around your child can you 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just crack on!

My 3 yo had chicken pox, when I was 3 days away from due date, with baby no.3.

I was advised to be wary but there was no way, I wasn't comforting my child! I'd had it as a kid and just made sure I washed my hands etc. Toddler wasn't allowed to hold or kiss the baby, until she'd scabbed over. Midwife insisted.

Could you pay for your toddler to be vaccinated?
I know they do chicken pox vaccines at Superdrug.

It's rediculous the UK doesn't immunise against this disease. Absolutely rediculous.
