How long should a sickness bug last?

Long story short, my DD (19mo) fell over on Saturday last week and hit her head. Cried for a minute then was fine. The next morning she threw up so I had he checked for concussion, I was told it doesn't look like concussion but rather the start of a sickness bug. She was sick a few more times on Sunday but fine Monday and stayed with MIL.

Tuesday morning MIL texts to say she can't have DD as she's been sick in the night, so I stayed home with her and DD was also sick during the day once or twice.

Wednesday I left work early and was sick on my driveway and then throughout the night, DD fine at this point. I felt rough Thursday but no more vomiting.

Friday DD did some horrifically wet poo's, and then about an hour after I put her to bed, she was sick! I also started to feel sick but nothing came up.

This morning she's drank plenty of water, no breakfast yet, but has just done an almighty wet poo that's leaked through her nappy and clothes and down her leg because it's so loose.

It's been 6 days - is this normal?

It can be, one of mine had a sickness bug for a week as a toddler before it went. I felt like it went on forever.

Ds started with one once when we were on holiday, spent 36 hours throwing up & having explosive nappies, he stopped, me & his dad started the minute we got home, then we stopped & he started again. I often wonder if they go round a house & reinfect whoever started first. Could it be norovirus, that is horribly infectious.
