If I list all the problems dd (15 yo) complains of can you tell me if anything comes to mind.
I am trying to do a bit of detective work, to work out if the problem is mental or physical.
Anxiety - school refusal at times.
Depression
Headaches
Stomach ache (worse after eating)
Problems sleeping (since a baby) and exhaustion.
Misphonia (can no longer eat with others and often has to leave the room for sounds)
Back pain
General joint pains
Heavy periods.

I have been trying to deal with each thing separately but now I'm wondering if it's all one thing.
She was gluten intolerant as a young child and I have hypothyroid.

Thanks.

Oh bless her. Have you been to the gp? The heavy periods and mental health mentions make me wonder if it could be a hormonal issue/imbalance which is contributing or triggering the rest of the issues. I would recommend speaking to a gp and try and arrange some blood tests as a start off!
Hope your daughter is ok ♥️

Has she been tested for coeliac disease? I had a lot of those symptoms before I was diagnosed. Coeliac can cause vitamin deficiencies which can lead to a whole host of issues. The fact she was gluten intolerant as a child could be an indicator too.

Three things come to mind:

Hypo-mobility - different gradings so some affect different organs/joints etc but can mean joints ache so sleep affected.

Under-active Thyroid- many of the symptoms fit in undiagnosed thyroid conditions.

Possible Neurodisability condition such as Autism - symptoms in many children can be non typical but there is a school of thought this is more so in girls. Misphonia, anxiety etc all would contribute.

In most areas you can self refer to CAMHS which may be a start or ask for some basic bloods - Iron, Vit D & thyroid etc -
