Healthy option for squash drink - child who won't drink water

My 4yo daughter is regular severely constipated as she doesn't drink enough water or eat vegetables. I want to try a watered down squash that isn't full of sugar or additives. Please can anyone advise any nice ones for her to try? Thank you

Have you tried cooled chamomile tea? Make it up, stick it in the fridge, then water it down by like 50%. It sounds bonkers but it’s what my mum got me to drink when I went through a no-water phase in the 90s.

I did it with my LO when he was 6m and refusing plain water. Worked perfectly as it’s sorta sweet but completely sugar free. Gradually increased the water til he would just drink water.

Watered down fruit juice? Still high in fruit sugar but not as bad as squash.

No problem. If she doesn’t take that, try a berry tea. Lidl’s very Berry is really good. I just thought chamomile first as it can help ‘move things along’.

On the fibre thing, apricots, raspberries, pears and apples all have pretty good fibre content. Keep trying with the veggies though - roasted ones in cool shapes can be a win.

For a gentle backup shifter try boiling 1 pear and 2 prunes in a small amount of water til soft, then blend with a pinch of cinnamon. Serve over natural yoghurt for a tasty, healthy pudding.
