Does anyone have experience of this? I suspect there is something going on but have been to the GP about 1.5 years ago who talked to someone more specialist and said they weren’t concerned.
DS also has bad breath which my research suggests could also be linked (often a liver thing) and I don’t really know what would help. He’s on good probiotics but just not growing much .
Thanks!

No experience but as someone with bowel disease I am often researching Pooh and believe pale pooh is linked to bile ducts.

If it was my child I'd book him for a private appointment. I find it weird doc said they spoke to a specialist who wasn't concerned tbh. Not that I'm a doctor but I can't imagine one commenting on a patient they hadn't physically seen...

In my dc's case, indication of liver disease was not just pale stool, but also a violent vomiting and stomach ache after eating.

I'd push strongly for testing for coeliac disease

Thank you both.
Are private appointments expensive and can they still refer you to the nhs? We have moved surgery due to a move so I otherwise wonder whether just to mention again and persist that something feels unsettling.
roguetomato I’m sorry to hear about your Dc and hope it’s been ok

He’s had two coeliac tests but both DD and I have wheat intolerance. Which doesn’t show in a coeliac test. I did give him a months wheat free trial on GP’s advice but nothing changed as he doesn’t have any obvious reaction unlike us

Energy is excellent and he looks well, just unexpectedly short but genes can be unpredictable too.

I did wonder whether bile salts would help as a Dr Berg on you tube suggests this can help. DS is already on a very nutritious diet as I am quite conscious he needs nutrient dense food and a lot of if
