Yellowish teeth

Hi there, my 9yo DD does brush twice daily & though possibly not perfectly well, I'd say pretty well. She frequently seems to have a yellowy 'scum' on her teeth. I have brushed for her, have used adult toothpastefor a few days with no real change. Due to Covid, no dental appointment in the pipeline yet, as she has no pain. Help!!

Is it definitely like a scum/coating rather than stained enamel ( permanently yellow)?

Do they drink tea or iced tea? Often stains teeth!

I’ve just taken my 8 year old to the dentist for this & was told that it’s due to some illness/virus she had when she was little and there’s nothing we can do😞

That’s the reason roughly I asked if it was permanent. For me I have yellowish teeth even now because of fluoride tablets from primary school.

My teeth aren't white but more beige and my sons seem to be to, he has an electric toothbrush and is 12 and I do sometimes go over them but it is worrying me. The dentist said it's totally normal.

My 10 year old has this, dentist says her teeth are perfect, it's just her tooth colour, I've told her I'll pay for whitening when she's older
