Hi everyone. Has anyone got any recommendations on what I could give my 2 month old for teething. I don't want to be giving her calpol all the time. But any other remedies our for 3 months upwards. If anyone has any tips they would be great 👍 many thanks

Are you sure teething is the problem? How often is she needing Calpol?

I don't know of any teething gels that can be used that young, but you could try a freezable teething toy.

If you're finding she's needing Calpol for pain a lot I would speak to your HV or GP.

Seems quite young for teething.

What are her symptoms

idontlikealdi · 06/05/2021 16:52

Why do you think she's teething? Seems quite young. I have no issue giving pain relief but not unless I knew what it was for.

If you think your 2 month old is in regular pain please speak to your GP or HV. It is quite unusual to teethe that young and I would want my baby to be checked over.

She drowling bitting her hands she not crying but of an evening she shoving her hands in her mouth I've only gave her calpol in the evening and she then stops biting her hands. I've all ready spoke to the health visitor and they said its teething baby's can be born with teeth. She not crying from it just grizzling but if I put my finger in her mouth she biting my finger very hard

Do you not think it sounds like teething then??

Hey- I had the exact same trouble. My DS started teething at two months, and his first two teeth finally appeared by 4 months. All same signs so I think it could be teething. It's more uncommon but not unheard of for babies to teethe early- just as it's not uncommon for babies to teethe late.

I used this stuff and it was a miracle worker. I felt comforted by the fact it was made from natural ingredients, but it really did provide him with instant relief. I continued using well past 6 months. Later I tried using parsons but actually reverted back to this because it seemed to work so much better than him. Think it's an international brand but they sell on Amazon, although wait times were a challenge for me from memory
