White painful fingers and toes

Some of Teenage Dds fingers and toes go white in midly cold conditions and very painful. She finds gymnastics (normal ambient temperature) difficult to do because her bare feet are painful.
Always her hands are also stone cold no matter how warm it is.

Possible Raynaud's?

Butwhhhyyyyyyy · 06/05/2021 10:17

Looks like raynards (spelling) my daughter has it and so do I, they need to keep warm. My daughter has special socks for pe to keep her toes warm.

Raynards. I have it too. Go gp to check

Raynaud's sounds likely on the face of it - there is some starter information from NHS if that is of interest. Putting it extremely simply the circulation to the fingers / toes shuts down too much in cold conditions, though it doesn't cause serious injury so is considered a benign condition generally.

Definitely raynauds. It can either be as a result of something else (raynauds phenomenon), or occur completely on it’s own (raynauds syndrome). If it’s randomly appeared, worth a chat with the GP to rule out other causes.

But if it’s the syndrome there’s nothing to be done about it. There are some meds but they can affect your liver I think, so they don’t really give them out. Try and keep warm and avoid stress

Yeah, Reynaud's as pps have said. Massive pain in the bum but not much to be done about it sadly. I suffered with it till my early 30s (which also happens to be the time I stopped being so slim - probably related imo).
