20 month old blood when brushing teeth

Has anyone experienced this?

She only drinks water and milk. She hardly ever has chocolate - maybe once a month if that and only a tiny amount. We brush her teeth twice a sat for two minutes. I took her to the dentist a few weeks ago and he saw her front teeth and said they look good. She wouldn't allow him in the mouth. I am worrying now! She also got a rash on her stomach but I think it's dry skin. But you know when you start to worry about everything!!

Use the softest brush you can buy (which I'm sure you are) and gently brush the top of the tooth and gum, tooth by tooth.

You've done the right thing by taking her to the dentist, but I wouldn't worry too much at this stage.

It may be that you are brushing too hard or for too long?

@itwa hopefully it is that. I do brush for two minutes and try to get everywhere and perhaps I am doing it too hard!

Hi op, I'm sure this is absolutely nothing and it's great you got this checked out with the dentist! I would recommend getting in touch with your gp just so they can rule out some other things (most likely via a blood test). I'm sure it's absolutely nothing- but it might be worth just checking out with your gp as bleeding gums and rashes together can be a sign of other things that, but the chances are that in all probability it's absolutely nothing! Hope things get easier for you soon! Good luck Thanks

@livelovelaugh30 okay, thank you! I will do that then!
