Hello,
DD had her first period aged 10 in early February. She has not yet had her second. Is it usual to have such a long gap at the beginning? Pretty much 28 days after the first one started she had spots and sore boobs, but no period appeared. Still nothing 45 days from the first one starting.
I keep telling her not to worry, but she is. Puberty for me was so far back in the mists of time I can't remember my own experiences! Grin
Thanks very much.

My DD is 10 and had her first one last week, so we’re a wee bit behind you. From what I’ve read I think it can take a while for them to find a rhythm - I’ve a secret bar of chocolate and a drawer full of reusable sanitary protection for whenever she needs it. Smile

My dd had nearly 6 months between her first two, than a further 4 months! There is much variation

My DD was the same as @moochingtothepub

Thank you. That is really helpful.
Yes I remember at the start mine were a bit inconsistent, now I'm 25 and expecting my first little miracle. All sounds normal but if you are concerned could get her a Gp appointment to check iron levels or a blood test for other things the go might suggest x
