Rumbling appendix?

Baffled, my ds 14 has had stomach pains since Wednesday, he thought he was constipated because he didnt feel he was emptying his bowls fully... pain has been mid tummy then moved to the right lower... called 111 yesterday as very uncomfortable and slight temp. Had a out of hrs appointment, who dipped pee , blood in pee nothing else , called surgeons who said they would see him today , went bk to hospital this am , saw night surgeon before handover he said he would like to scan possible appendicitis.... bloods taken 'nothing flagged' urine re tested blood ++ , day surgeon comes later , examined and said didn't think it was appendicitis... bp taken 3x bp high , urine lab test , just blood... sent away to be reviewed by gp in a week to retest urine and BP .. = child still in pain and no answers to go back if pain gets worse ... feeling slightly on edge with this ...
Any medically trained can tell me why blood would be in urine and high BP with tender right area .. 2nd surgeon dismissed scan as advised by first one and said you can get blood in urine for no reason .... if pain gets worse come back !!

Ds had appendicitis in the summer.

He nearly got sent home by the surgical team for two reasons. The pain was not quite in the right place and secondly, being someone who underplays pain, he said the pain was 2-4 out of 10. He's never got above a 4 ever, (as opposed to dd2 who starts any discussion at 12 Wink)
Paediatrician told me he wasn't going home and it was definitely appendicitis. So we waited.

He was operated upon the next day, and it took over 4 hours (I was told 1 hour) because it was in the wrong place. Hence it presenting not normally.

I don't think (but a doctor may correct me) that blood in urine is a usual symptom of appendicitis. I thought that was more likely a UTI, and don't recall them testing ds'.
The things they did was press his stomach (I think it hurts more when you release the pressure) got him to jump up and down (very painful).

I think I'd phone 111, say you're concerned because it's not clearing, and ask what to do. Would you say he's getting worse, better or the same?
For ds, his medical notes state he had significantly deteriorated overnight, so the surgical team then was happy to operate. I don't recall him being much worse, except he was hooked up to a drip and was very drowsy, but I think that was partially what was going into him.

He did make me laugh as we left. He announced that he could cross two things off his bucket list. Going in a wheelchair and having a drip. I don't dare ask what else is on his bucket list. Grin but this is a child who enjoys blood tests.

@MargaretThursday your reply made me smile , sounds very similar, the pain is in the right place but his pain hit a whopping 2 also... he's never been a complainer where as my dd would need icu.
So according to the ooh gp last night blood can indicate it's inflamed because it was showing no more markers... but the surgeon said you can have blood for no real reason . So now it's wait and see if it gets worse .. 'it's the same' he says , I'll call my GP tomorrow and see what they advise. It's a bloody worry. Glad your boy was sorted x

Hope you get it sorted.

Although it felt quick for ds, it wasn't really.
He had 24hours in bed at home.
Then took him to A&E in the evening.
They didn't operate until the following evening (he kept being bumped!) and they said it was infected but not imminent to bursting.
he'd had a bit of tummy pain on and off for a bit, so I think it had been rumbling for a while.

It did take a bit of recovery, I think because it wasn't as straightforward as they normally are. He was 2 days before he could get up out of bed without being sick. But once he was home he bounced back pretty quickly.
