Can children develop a milk allergy at any time?

My 6 month DD is covered in a rash. We've been to the docs so many times and have to date been told it's heat rash/viral/eczema. We've been prescribed creams, tried creams from the counter and oat baths but the rash is getting worse and my DD is itching like crazy. I've done a bit of my own research and I'm a bit worried it could be CMPA. She has been formula fed since birth so my question is, can cmpa rear its head at any time?

Any allergy can suddenly start. For my dd it was 3 months. She was breastfed and I ate loads of dairy. Her skin was fine until 3 months old and then developed severe eczema on her cheeks before spreading everywhere. She was diagnosed with severe dairy and egg allergy at 6 months old and I quit both so that I could continue to feed her. Could you ask for a prescription for dairy-free formula to try and see if her skin clears up? Make sure it’s cow’s milk protein-free and not just lactose-free.
