Vomiting, could it be concussion?

Probably massively overthinking this but...

Yesterday my ds 2yowas fine, ate all his lunch and was playing with his sister ect. Then we all went outside to play football and have a run around. Dh kicked the ball trying to get it in the goal (kicked it hard) and as it was about to land ds ran in front of it before I could stop him and it hit him on the front of the head. He wanted a cuddle but didn't really cry. Then when we came back home and gave him dinner he didn't eat any of it (not like him at all). Seemed fine at bath time and went to bed like normal.

Then this morning he's started projectile vomiting, no temperature, very pale skin and he just wants to lie on me on the sofa. Could it be related or is it likely just a bug and coincidental timing?

Just to add, my dd had a head injury last year, fell and cracked it on concrete flags, lots of blood and you could clearly see her skull! A&E calmly stitched it and I was told if she's sick more than twice to take her back.
How many times has your ds been sick?

Really glad you got him checked out and assume he is more or less ok if you’ve been discharged?

Yes he is a bit better thanks. They aren't sure if it's mild concussion or a bug but when we got to hospital they were more concerned that his blood sugar level was extremely low because he had been vomiting. They kept him in for 5 hours, got us to do a fluid challenge and gave him two spears of glucose medicine and then once they were happy he had stopped being sick we were allowed to go home. Just been told to keep an eye on him for head injury symptoms over the next few days x
