Can anyone help? Ds has had on/off stomach trouble for maybe 3 years now . At least 3 times a week complains of stomach pain around belly button, back and forth to GP all bloods checked, stool sample all ok . Bowel movements can be up and down.. so far thou they have been normal . Couple of months ago had little accidents in underwater happened 3xs was given movical . He does not seem to be constipated as goes every day anyway before covid referred to pediatrician seen her twice, done some more bloods went through anxiety or any problems at school. He loves school no bullying issues so again none the wiser given some medicine to try when pain pops up . So to cut long story short we’ve not seen her as COVID came , spoke on phone she’s happy as his bloods are all ok she will see him once more in clinic in 4 months to weigh him and if I keep food diary when pain occurs then if all ok she will discharge 🙄. I’m now at my witts end pain spasms still occurring after he’s ate in evenings or morning when he wakes even on walks with dog.when out he will cripple over and we have to wait . He’s not been in school so can deffo rule that out . She said on last visit the final check would be a camera but that obvs comes with the need for a general which she wasn’t keen on and I don’t want unnecessarily. Should I request a private ultrasound? Wud it show anything, I have a family history of ulcers could he have one . I just want a look inside but really don’t like the idea of a camera not sure if she would agree now to one .

Similar problem with my 11year old granddaughter. Tummy aches for last few months, appendicitis, uti and constipation all ruled out. Ibuprofen and paracetamol only marginally effective. Theory is that it is pain associated with puberty and body changing prior to onset of periods
Can’t find anything anywhere to say this can happen. Has anyone ever heard of this phenomenon?
