15 mo DS's Eating Habits

I'm a FTM and, thanks partly to lockdown, I'm finding it hard to know what's 'normal' when it comes to my 15 months old DS and his eating.
He's always been a great one for drinking his milk (I BF him) and still nurses at least 8 times during the day and night. I know this is a lot and am trying to cut down but it's a slow process and he's very insistent when he wants his milk.
I'm worried he isn't eating enough food given his age. I had thought things would improve with time but, if anything, he's eating less now then when he was 10 months old.
He's on 90th centile for height and weight so no issues there. Also hitting his milestones fine.

I offer a range of foods (mix of BLW and purees/mashed food) but he takes one or two nibbles and that's it. He has never once finished what he's been given and 90% ends up on the floor.

A typical day will consist of:

7a.m. BF when wakes up
9a.m. one nibble of toast and butter and 1 or 2 blueberries or 1 bite of banana or 1 bite of a home made 'baby' muffin
9.30am Quick BF (I never offer but he insists)
10.30am A couple of Peanut butter puffs or one bite of a rice cake or 1/4 of a cream cracker
11am BF to sleep for nap
2pm offer a meal of e.g. pasta or rice with veg and meat- rarely eats anything at this time. He might eat e.g. one bite of cheese and 1 cherry tomato and a nibble of cucumber.
5pm 1 or 2 tsps of dinner (might be e.g. chicken and mash or tofu and noodles or lamb mince with boiled veg)
5.30pm 4 or 5 tsps of yoghurt and a few grapes
6pm Comfort BF when getting tired- Feeds on and off at this stage.
7pm BF to sleep
11pm BF
3am BF

Is this as worrying as I think it is?
Any one in the same boat?
Any words of wisdom?

To be honest, it sounds like he just isnt hungry because he's full up on milk. At his age, his main source of nutrients needs to be a varied diet of solid food.

If i were you, I'd wean in the day.

That's what I was thinking too. So, is it a matter of being strict and just saying no and distracting? I just feel so cruel when he's crying for milk. I'll do it if I have to but I was optimistically hoping he would regulate himself.

Are you going back to work?

Your lo sounds very much like mine. She barely eats (15mo) but does like to explore and play with food. Shes now under the care of the speech and language team, the dietician and a paediatrician.

@Yellowtopaz I WFH when DS sleeps so no plans to go back to a physical work, no. Also no plans to send him to nursery at the moment.

@Pinkflipflop85 I'm sorry to hear you're going through a similar thing with your little one. I don't think DS has any issues with speech; he babbles all the time and has lots of words. Was your DD losing weight or was it simply that she wasn't eating enough solids?

The speech and language team are looking at oral motor skills and swallowing. She barely eats and what she does put in her mouth eventually comes back out again all chewed up!
She hasn't lost weight because she makes up for it breastfeeding!

I work full time but even at childcare she doesn't eat!
